One lesser known, I think, Christmas movie is Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas. I had not seen this movie in years, but I found a copy last year and had a nice trip down memory lane. This is an example of the music included on it.

My favorite lesser-known-in-North-America Christmas film is really a New Year's film from Russia: Ironiya sudby (The Irony of Fate) from 1975. But over in Russia it's watched every year like It's a Wonderful Life. Now that I've discovered it, I also have to watch it every year. If you find a copy and get the chance to see it, you'll probably join the legions who can't stop thinking about it.
